What Is Beer Epiphany?

Beer Epiphany is a blog dedicated to my passion for Craft Beer a.k.a. “Good Beer.”  I put this in quotes because what is good for one individual may not be good for another, but craft beer is widely being regarded as superior to macro brews such as Bud, Miller, Coors, etc.

A “beer epiphany” is when an individual has a moment where realize that there is so much more to the world of beer than what TV commercials, magazine ads, and college have shown us.  This blog is to help celebrate both my own and others beer epiphanies.  To quote Drinkwiththewench.com:

“Every craft beer enthusiast has at least one pinnacle craft beer experience that completely changes ones perspective on beer. I refer to this mind-blowing moment as a ‘craft beer epiphany.”

This notion of craft beer is also going to change as breweries such as Boston Beer keep growing and surpass the 2,000,000 barrel mark that separates craft beer from the rest.  Therefore, this blog is merely to follow my pursuit of my next beer regardless of what society labels it.

Much of this blog will be dedicated to reviews of recent beer tastings, but I will also blog about many other things relating to beer.  I plan on learning to home brew in the near future; so, I’m sure my exploits into home brewing will make into this blog as well.  I am excited to share my thoughts, opinions, feelings, and experiences with beer right here for all to read.

About the blogger:

I am 24 years old, and a two-year craft beer veteran.  I collect all things beer including bottles, glasses, signs, coasters, and bottle caps/corks.  No interest or hobby in my life has come close to how passionate I am about beer.  I have always pursued interests with a passion, but nothing has stuck until now.  I was in on all the fads as a child (remember pogs?), and have had varying interests grow over time, but for the last two years beer has been pretty much it for me.

I have a full-time job completely unrelated to beer, but I cannot think of anything better than one day getting a job in the brewing industry.   This blog is one way to share both my love of beer with others, and to also make myself marketable to brewers and beer companies.
